[TR] Mt. Avalon: Hidden Ice For When Mt. Willard Is Packed

General Discussion Forum - Spray beta, post trip reports, etc.

Here is a little Trip Report for my little adventure to Mt. Avalon with Toni and Don this weekend. A full photo album is available here. Enjoy!

It was a great day.

Nice write up Chris. None of the embedded images in your site show up for me though. I just see boxes with what look like gray 'do not enter' symbols.

I would add that when you leave the Willard trail a bearing of ~230 will take you to the ice. The path of least resistance through the woods kept pulling us too far right so beware.

Yeah, same here. The images aren't working for me.

Should be fixed. Accidentally put in the private photo links rather than the ones from the public album!

Avalon is a cool place. Peer Pressure is a nice big flow at the far left end and not to be missed. Many flows around for everyone's type.
