I generally advise students in the program not to be in a rush to buy gear -- to take some time to see what other people have, how they like it, etc.
However, the EMS in Harvard Square is holding a private sale on Sunday April 12 for members of the Rock and Ice Climbing Boston Meetup group (and others). With a few exceptions, everything in the store will be 20% off.
