Tagging Your Posts

Geek out over your new gear. Share your reviews. Try to sell stuff.

Let's try to keep this forum easy to read by adding tags to the beginning of the subject you're posting. Here are some examples:

Code: Select all
[WTS]    Want To Sell
[WTB]    Want To Buy
[REVIEW] Reviewing a piece of gear

If your post doesn't fit into any of the above categories, just go ahead and post it.

It would be good to archive/hide stale postings in this forum -- maybe anything that is older than a year?

It's pretty easy to set up a prune feature on the forums to any number of days. I hesitate to do it for 2 reasons though.

- It's nice to go back and see what people were selling other gear for.
- Post count! Do we really want to rob people of their hard work done to increase their post count? :P

We don't need to necessarily remove them -- I think phpBB has a sub-forum module that I've seen other sites use to archive older posts so they do not need to be deleted. We could just add an "Archive" sub-forum to this one and that way it would be easier to identify which gear postings are active/open. It's not as much of an issue right now, I suppose, since we have few postings overall.
