I don't seem to be getting email notifications even though I've subscribed to several forums and have confirmed my email address is correct -- am I missing something?

I got some notifications, some rather delayed and some not at all. None of the notifications had an extract of the message and required one to open up the web site :(

It used to work fine, but I've been remiss in keeping up with the phpBB updates on here lately. Hopefully the fix is as simple as a version upgrade. Regardless, I plan to look at it tomorrow and so some testing. Stay tuned...

Any progress here? Didn't get an email notification about your latest post in "Gear Room" even though I'm subscribed. Getting the notifications flowing is key for increasing board activity -- at least for my activity :)

Just subscribed to this forum. If you reply I can see if (and when) I get it :)

I did upgrade the phpBB version to the latest. Didn't get a chance to do any testing with notifications though.

I'm not exactly sure how they're supposed to work with the different types. For example, subscribing to the forum might only kick off an email if someone creates a new topic. In order to get an email for a reply, you might have to subscribe to that thread. Just a thought.

I guess replying here will be a test of some sort.

I just got a notification on this thread (only subscribed to the forum, not the thread). Took only a couple of minutes this time.

It would be really nice if the notification had a summary or something of the reply so you don't need to open the web page.

I initially thought the notification took an hour, but as it turns out, I needed to manually change the timezone in my user preferences to "daylight saving in effect" as the board doesn't update that automatically.

Just installed a new mod to the forums that should list the forum, topic, and include author and body of the post in the email message. Let me know how it works!
